Hey, it's your friendly afternoon DJ here! I usually call myself Christopher on the air, but you can call me Chris. Can you believe I've been on the air here at The End for almost 10 years? Well it's true, and I'm enjoying every minute of it! I grew up pretty close to Sacramento, went to Yuba City HS, and then graduated from Chico State before I came here to work at The End. If you've lived in Sac for a while, you might remember that back in the day I actually worked the 7-Midnight shift, counting down TR9 and playing new tunes in the Big Ass Battle! I've been doing my current 3-7pm afternoon show for a little over 5 years now, and I'm having a blast talking to all of you each and every day on your way home from work or school. I do things a bit differently on my show, though, because frankly I think too many people pay way too much attention to celebrity nonsense these days. Instead of just regurgitating on the air the mindless celebrity gossip TMZ spews out for anyone to read, I try to talk about things that may actually mean something to you my friendly listener. But the main focus is, of course, the music, and I always try to pass along lots of info about the songs and artists that we play. Thanks for taking the time to find out a little about me, and especially thanks for listening to my show, because without you listening, I wouldn't be here!
This is me with Carly Smithson of American Idol way back in 2001. You can't see her right arm in this pic, but no, she did not have her huge tat yet! Believe it or not, The End played a song by Carly back then in '01 when she released her debut CD. She went by Carly Hennessy then (she wasn't married yet). Needless to say, her CD was a big flop!
